During April vacation in 2008 I made 14 pairs of earrings just for the fun of it. My boyfriend said, "you should do something with those". Shortly after I did a local craft fair with some earrings and a few handmade cards. It took off from there. I opened JacquelinesCreations on Etsy a year later. I started with jewelry and handmade cards. In July of 2009 I opened a second shop (Jacquelinespaper) and moved all my paper items there.

I live in Maine in a renovated restaurant. My favorite part is that we kept the original gas stove and grill. My boys love it when I make omelets on it. My work space is what used to be the walk in refrigerator. It is compact but has lots of shelves for my supplies. Most of the time it is pretty organized. I say most of the time because if I go on a creating spree it could be messy for days until I tire out.

My clay items are made completely by hand. No molds are ever used. I do use a paw print stamp for my paw print ones. And all the painted details on the clay are hand painted by me. My other jewelry is designed by me and put together using supplies I buy here on Etsy and local craft stores.
